PEDIATRIC DOSE:

|
Antibacterial-Oral, 7.5 to 12.5 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours; or 15 to 25 mg per kg of body weight every twelve hours.
Severe infections, 15 to 25 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours.
Note: Conjunctivitis, chlamydial -Oral, 12.5 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours for at least two weeks.
Diphtheria-Oral, 10 to 12.5 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours for fourteen days.
Endocarditis prophylaxis-Oral, 20 mg (base) per kg of body weight two hours prior to the procedure, and 10 mg per kg of body weight six hours after the initial dose.
Pertussis-Oral, 10 to 12.5 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours for fourteen days.
Pneumonia, chlamydial -Oral, 12.5 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours for two weeks.
Streptococcal pharyngitis-Oral, 5 to 7.5 mg (base) per kg of body weight every six hours; or 10 to 15 mg per kg of body weight every twelve hours for at least ten days. |
