ADULT DOSE:
|

Antianxiety agent-Oral, 2 to 10 mg two to four times a day .
Sedative-hypnotic-Alcohol withdrawal: Oral, 10 mg three or four times during the first twenty-four hours, the dosage being decreased to 5 mg three or four times a day as needed .
Anticonvulsant-Oral, 2 to 10 mg two to four times a day .
Skeletal muscle relaxant adjunct-Oral, 2 to 10 mg three or four times a day .
Note: Debilitated patients-Oral, 2 to 2.5 mg one or two times a day, the dosage being increased gradually as needed and tolerated . |

Children 6 months of age and older: Oral, 1 to 2.5 mg, or 40 to 200 mcg (0.04 to 0.2 mg) per kg of body weight, or 1.17 to 6 mg per square meter of body surface area, three or four times a day, the dosage being increased gradually as needed and tolerated . |
