ADULT DOSE:

[Diarrhea, infectious] -
Oral, 400 mg every eight to twelve hours for five days.
Gonorrhea, endocervical and urethral-
Oral, 800 mg as a single dose .
Prostatitis, acute or chronic -
Oral, 400 mg every twelve hours for twenty-eight days .
Urinary tract infections-
Uncomplicated, due to Escherichia coli , Klebsiella pneumoniae , or Proteus mirabilis : Oral, 400 mg every twelve hours for three days .
Uncomplicated, due to other indicated organisms: Oral, 400 mg every twelve hours for seven to ten days .
Note: Adults with impaired renal function may require a reduction in dose as follows :
