ADULT DOSE:

Antidepressant-Oral, initially 25 mg two to four times a day, the dosage being adjusted gradually as needed and tolerated .

 

MAXIMUM ADULT DOSE:

Outpatients-Up to 150 mg a day . Hospitalized patients-Up to 300 mg a day . Geriatric patients-Up to 100 mg a day .

 

PEDIATRIC DOSE:

Antidepressant-Children 6 to 12 years of age: Oral, 10 to 30 mg, or 1 to 5 mg per kg of body weight, a day in two divided doses . Adolescents: Oral, initially 10 mg three times a day and 20 mg at bedtime, the dosage being adjusted as needed and tolerated , up to a maximum of 100 mg a day in divided doses or as a single dose at bedtime. [Enuresis]-Children up to 6 years of age: Oral, 10 mg a day as a single dose at bedtime . Children over 6 years of age: Oral, initially 10 mg a day as a single dose at bedtime, the dose being increased as needed and tolerated up to a maximum of 25 mg . 

 

MAXIMUM PEDIATRIC DOSE:

 

ELDERLY DOSE:

Antidepressant-Oral, initially 25 mg at bedtime , the dosage being adjusted as needed and tolerated, up to 10 mg three times a day and 20 mg at bedtime .
