ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS :

 

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS :

Cardiac arrhythmias

>> Coronary insufficiency

Hypertension, not optimally controlled

Hyperthyroidism, not optimally controlled

Pheochromocytoma, diagnosed or suspected

>> Sensitivity to an adrenergic bronchodilator

 

ADULT DOSE:

Bronchodilator-Oral inhalation, 2 inhalations (180 or 200 mcg albuterol) every four to six hours. For some patients, 1 inhalation (90 or 100 mcg) every four to six hours may be sufficient. Bronchospasm, exercise-induced (prophylaxis) -Oral inhalation, 2 inhalations (180 or 200 mcg) fifteen minutes prior to exercise .

Bronchodilator-Children up to 4 years of age: Dosage has not been established. Children 4 years of age and over: See Usual adult and adolescent dose.
