ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS :

 

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS :

Cardiovascularr disease that could be exacerbated by hypotension, such as history of myocardial infarction, angina,

Conditions that would predispose patients to hypotension, such as dehydration or hypovolemia

Drug abuse or dependence

>> Hepatic function impairment

Mania or hypomania

Renal function impairment

11 to 39 mL per minute per 1.73 square meters of body surface area ], and by about 50% in patients with severe renal function impairment [GFR < 10 mL/min/1.73m ] )

Seizures

 

ADULT DOSE:

Antidepressant- Oral, initially 15 mg once a day, preferably in the evening prior to sleep . The dose may be increased, as needed and tolerated, at intervals of not less than one to two weeks .

 

MAXIMUM ADULT DOSE:

Up to 45 mg a day .

 

PEDIATRIC DOSE:

Safety and efficacy have not been established .  

 

MAXIMUM PEDIATRIC DOSE:

 

ELDERLY DOSE:

Antidepressant- Oral, initially 15 mg once a day, preferably in the evening prior to sleep . The dose may be increased, as needed and tolerated, at intervals of not less than one to two weeks .
