ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS :

 

RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS :

>> Hypertension, well-controlled

Neurological impairment, including developmental delay

Seizures

>> Cardiac arrhythmia,

>> Congestive heart failure,

>> Coronary artery disease,

>> Stroke

Drug abuse or dependence

Gallstones

Glaucoma, narrow angle

>> Hepatic function impairment, severe

>> Renal function impairment, severe

 

ADULT DOSE:

Obesity, exogenous- Oral, initially 10 mg once a day, usually in the morning. If weight loss is inadequate (< 1.8 kg [4 pounds]) after four weeks of therapy, dosage may be increased to 15 mg once a day, taking into consideration effects on heart rate and blood pressure. Note: Patients who do not tolerate the 10-mg dose may benefit from a 5-mg dose .

 

MAXIMUM ADULT DOSE:

15 mg per day .

 

PEDIATRIC DOSE:

Safety and efficacy in children up to 16 years of age have not been established .  

 

MAXIMUM PEDIATRIC DOSE:

 

ELDERLY DOSE:
