ADULT DOSE:

Malaria (prophylaxis)-
Oral, 100 mg a day .
In highly endemic areas this dose may be safely increased to 200 mg a day .
Note: For all countries with chloroquine-resistant malaria the dose of proguanil should be increased to 200 mg a day given with 300 mg chloroquine base (approximately equivalent to 500 mg chloroquine phosphate) once a week . |
