ADULT DOSE:
|
|
Brain and spinal lesions imaging, magnetic resonance ; Body imaging, magnetic resonance; and [Cardiac imaging, magnetic resonance] -Intravenous, 93.8 mg (0.1 mmol [0.2 mL]) per kg of body weight, administered at a rate not to exceed 10 mL per minute.
Note: Injection rates that exceed 10 mL per minute have been associated with nausea.
To insure complete injection of gadopentetate, a 5-mL normal saline flush should be administered following injection of gadopentetate.
If repeat examinations are required, an interval of time should elapse between injections to allow for normal clearance of gadopentetate. |
