ADULT DOSE:

Antihyperlipidemic-Initial- Oral, 10 to 40 mg once a day at bedtime, the dosage being adjusted at four-week intervals as needed and tolerated. Note: An initial dose of 10 mg once a day is recommended in patients with significant renal function impairment or hepatic function impairment, and for the elderly. Maintenance- 10 to 40 mg once a day at bedtime. Note: In the elderly, maintenance doses of 20 mg a day or less are usually effective.
