ADULT DOSE:
Antirheumatic (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory) -Oral, 75 mg once a day, in the morning or at bedtime; may be increased to 75 mg two times a day if necessary.
Note: It is generally recommended that the daily maintenance dose be determined using the immediate-release formulation. The extended-release dosage form may then be used, if desired, provided that the required dose can be achieved with the available strength.
Careful observation of the patient for signs of intolerance is recommended if the extended-release capsule is used for initiating indomethacin therapy or for increasing the daily dose. Initiation of therapy with one extended-release capsule daily provides the maximum initial dose recommended by the manufacturer. Use of the extended-release capsule to increase the dose provides a greater-than-recommended increase in daily dosage. |
