ADULT DOSE:

Bronchodilator-Oral, 2 to 4 mg (base) three or four times a day .
Dosage may be increased gradually, as needed and tolerated, up to a maximum of 8 mg four times a day .
Note: Patients sensitive to beta-adrenergic stimulation should receive an initial dose of 2 mg (base) three or four times a day, increased gradually as needed and tolerated . |

PEDIATRIC DOSE:

Bronchodilator-Children up to 2 years of age: Safety and efficacy have not been established .
Children 2 to 6 years of age: Oral, 100 mcg (0.1 mg) (base) per kg of body weight (up to a maximum of 2 mg) three times a day .
Dosage may be increased gradually as needed and tolerated, to a maximum of 4 mg three times a day .
Children 6 to 14 years of age: Oral, 2 mg (base) three or four times a day .
Dosage may be increased gradually as needed and tolerated, to a maximum of 24 mg per day in divided doses .
