ADULT DOSE:

Antianginal-Adalat XL or Procardia XL- Oral, 30 or 60 mg once a day, the dosage being adjusted over a seven- to fourteen-day period as needed and tolerated . Antihypertensive-Adalat CC- Initial-Oral, 30 mg once a day . Maintenance-Oral, 30 to 60 mg once a day, the dosage being adjusted over a seven- to fourteen-day period as needed and tolerated . Note: Adalat CC should be taken on an empty stomach . Adalat PA- Initial-Oral, 10 or 20 mg two times a day . The full antihypertensive effect may not be apparent for three weeks; therefore, a dosage increase, if needed, should occur at three-week intervals . Maintenance-Oral, 20 mg two times a day . Note: Geriatric patients may be more sensitive to the effects of the usual adult dose. Adalat XL- Initial-Oral, 30 or 60 mg once a day, the dosage being adjusted over a seven- to fourteen-day period as needed and tolerated . Maintenance-Oral, 60 to 90 mg once daily . Procardia XL- Oral, 30 or 60 mg once a day, the dosage being adjusted over a seven- to fourteen-day period as needed and tolerated

 

MAXIMUM ADULT DOSE:

Antianginal 90 mg a day ( Adalat XL, Procardia XL) . Antihypertensive 90 mg a day ( Adalat CC) , or 80 mg a day ( Adalat PA) , or 120 mg a day ( Adalat XL, Procardia XL)

 

PEDIATRIC DOSE:

Dosage has not been established.
