ADULT DOSE
 
For the treatment of constipation:Adults: 1-2 tablets (187-374 mg standardized senna concentrate, or 8.6-17.2 mg sennosides) PO twice daily. Maximum dose: 4 tablets (748 mg standardized senna concentrate) twice daily.For use as a bowel preparation prior to bowel examination such as colonoscopy or barium enema:Adults: 1-2 tablets (184-374 mg standardized senna conc.) or 1-2 teaspoonfuls (436 mg standardized senna extract) PO, 12-14 hours before the examination.
MAXIMUM ADULT DOSE:
 
PEDIATRIC DOSE :
 
For the treatment of constipation:Children > 27 kg: 1 tablet (187 mg standardized senna concentrate) PO at bedtime. Maximum dose is 2 tablets (374 mg standardized senna concentrate) PO twice daily.
